A presentation is the part of a sales call or meeting where the agent explains the recommended coverage, its cost, and its terms. It follows the needs discovery and comes before the application.

## Why it matters

A good presentation covers the death benefit, the premium, any waiting period or graded benefit, and how long coverage lasts. It also names the carrier and explains what is not covered. Families should ask for written materials and make sure the numbers match the quote. Agents must avoid unclear or misleading claims. If the policy replaces another, extra disclosures apply.
