No. Many Epic Life agents start with no insurance background. We help you get licensed, then put you through a mandatory hands-on training program that teaches the Epic Life sales process and carrier systems on real calls. ### Do Epic Life agents have to buy their own leads? Yes. Agents buy exclusive direct call-in leads and live transfers at a discounted rate through the vendors Epic Life works with. Ask for current lead pricing before you start so you can plan your budget. ### How many states do I need to be licensed in? At least 10 states. Our most successful agents are licensed in 25 or more states, because more licenses mean more of the inbound calls can be routed to you. ### Are Epic Life agents captive? No. Every Epic Life agent is a 1099 independent contractor. You own your book of business and your residuals are vested from day one. If the fit is not right for either side, we provide a release quickly. ### Can I build a team or own an agency? Yes.
