Sales and lead terms

Aged Lead

An aged lead is a prospect record that was generated days, weeks, or months ago and has been contacted before or not at all. Aged leads cost less than fresh leads but usually convert at a lower rate.

Why it matters

Aged leads suit agents who want to lower lead spend and can handle more rejection. Quality varies by source, age, and how many agents already called. Consent can also expire or be hard to prove, so agents check Do Not Call status and consent records before dialing. Pricing and returns depend on the vendor and the product. Agents who buy aged leads should track results over time and compare the cost per sale with other lead types.
