Sales and lead terms

Live Transfer

A live transfer is a call that a lead vendor connects to an agent in real time, after a caller has shown interest. The agent speaks with the prospect right away instead of calling back later.

Why it matters

Live transfers cost more per lead than many other lead types, but the prospect is already on the line. Speed matters because interest fades fast. Vendors set the rules for screening, call length, and refunds, and these differ by vendor. Agents should track cost per sale, not just cost per call. Families should know that a transferred caller is still free to ask who the agent is, which carriers they represent, and whether to stop the call.
